In 1995, following the initiative of many youth
counsellors working in Lachine, Cumulus starts its actions in the community.
A non-profit organization, Cumulus begins its 15th year in 2009
as a drug awareness program.
Since its creation, its actions have considerably expanded. At its start, its involvements were only in a few elementary and high schools in Lachine. Today, Cumulus' counsellors take part in more than 18 neighbourhoods in the great Montreal area. This being in schools (elementary and high schools) and in partnership with other organizations (social reinsertion, mental programs, etc.). At present, these actions come in contact with more than 12 000 individuals.
